Solution to the conflict between the State of Israel and the Palestinians

The Histadrut believes that the path to the solution to the conflict between the State of Israel and the Palestinians passes only through the negotiating table. The United States and the United Nations play an essential role in creating the same table. Unilateral measures as the recently announced President Trump’s plan or the decision to mark businesses hurt the possibility of realizing the two-state principle for two peoples.

As a loyal agent of the peace process, the Histadrut sees workers in Israel, Israelis, and Palestinians as agents of change and the platform for promoting coexistence between peoples. Unilateral annexation and boycotts of companies will harm those agents, prevent a return to the process of peace between peoples, and perpetuate and deepen the conflict in a way that casts a heavy cloud over the possibility of resolving the dispute.

David Ben-Gurion said that “history is not written, history is made,” it is time to create that reality for the people and for peace, and stop writing, marking, and talking about annexations.
