Privacy policy

General

  1. The Histadrut operating this website (hereinafter: the “Organization”) respects the privacy of users of the website. Accordingly, this Privacy Policy sets forth the information regarding the protection of users’ privacy on the website, the options available to users when using the website, and the manner in which the Organization collects, uses, stores, and processes information obtained through the website.
  2. The provisions of this Privacy Policy constitute an integral part of the website’s Terms of Use and are intended, inter alia, to describe the manner in which the Organization uses information provided by users and/or collected by the Organization while using the website.
  3. By registering on and/or browsing the website, the user hereby confirms his/her consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
  4. This Privacy Policy is intended to clarify the privacy practices applicable to the use of the website, including the manner in which the Organization collects and uses information provided by users and/or collected during use and/or browsing of the website. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the website, whether accessed via a computer, mobile phone, tablet, or any other device, as well as to any service provided by the Organization, and to all information provided to or collected by it.
  5. Users are requested to review this Privacy Policy prior to using the website and prior to providing personal data (such as name, email address, etc.) to the Organization through the website.
  6. The user acknowledges and agrees that the Organization may, from time to time and at its sole discretion, amend, update, or replace the provisions of this Privacy Policy and/or any other document governing privacy matters. The updated version shall be published on the Organization’s website at: https://www.histadrut.org.il/.
  7. This Privacy Policy is written in the masculine form for convenience only and applies equally to all genders. Any reference in the singular shall also include the plural, and vice versa, as applicable.
  8. The headings in this Privacy Policy are provided for convenience only and shall not be used for interpretation purposes.

Collection and Use of Information

  • Certain services on the website require the provision of personal information by the user, including full name and contact details (hereinafter: “Personal Information”). Such information is knowingly and voluntarily provided by the user during registration for services on the website. It is hereby clarified that the user is not legally obligated to provide such information; however, provision of such information is required to receive the relevant service. The provision of Personal Information by the user constitutes the user’s consent to the use of such information by the Organization in accordance with this Privacy Policy and subject to applicable law and regulation.
  • The Personal Information provided by the user shall be stored in the Organization’s databases, and the Organization shall be entitled to use such information in accordance with the database registration terms and subject to the provisions of the Protection of Privacy Law, 1981, including the transfer of information to third parties as permitted under the database registration. Providing Personal Information and contact details constitutes consent to receive direct marketing communications from the Organization.
  • The user may, at any time, withdraw consent to receive promotional materials by submitting a written request to the Organization via email at: Moked@histadrut.org.il or by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link included in any promotional email sent by the Organization. Such request shall take effect no later than seven (7) business days from the date of its receipt.
  • For the avoidance of doubt, withdrawal of consent to receive promotional materials shall not derogate from the Organization’s right to use the information for any other purposes permitted under this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

User Rights – Review and Correction of Information

  1. Each user is entitled to request access to information relating to him/her that is held in the Organization’s databases, by contacting the Organization by phone at *3832 or by email at Moked@histadrut.org.il. In addition, the user is entitled, in accordance with applicable law, to request correction, amendment, or deletion of such information, to the extent possible. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Organization may retain information collected independently and/or information not used for direct contact with the user, including information required for the Organization’s operational or business activities, all subject to applicable law.
  2. The Organization may collect and use aggregated and statistical information regarding users’ activities on the website in order to improve, enhance, or modify the website, as well as for marketing and statistical purposes. Such information is generally non-identifiable. However, where a user enters details in a registration form, the Organization may retain the information provided, even if the registration process was not completed, and may use such information to contact the user.

Information Collection Technologies and Cookies

  1. “Cookies” are files created by the website and/or by third-party tools embedded in the website, which are stored on the user’s device and enable the collection of information regarding browsing preferences and usage patterns, such as preferred websites and areas of interest. Some Cookies expire when the browser is closed, while others are stored on the user’s device.

The Organization may use Cookies, tags, pixels, Google Analytics and other identification and/or tracking technologies for the purposes of operating the website, managing access, ensuring information security, customizing the user experience based on user preferences or device/browser settings, continuously improving the website, conducting statistical analyses, and for marketing purposes.

Joining the Organization

  1. The Organization enables users who are not members to join the Organization through an online registration form.
  2. Membership in the Organization is voluntary and involves payment of membership fees. Membership fees may be paid by standing order, credit card, or, in the case of an organized workplace, through the employer. When completing the registration form, the user is required to provide the name of the workplace. If the system does not recognize the workplace as an organized workplace, the user will be required to select a payment method and provide payment details. Where payment is made through the employer, the member authorizes the employer to transfer the membership fee payment details to the Organization and authorizes the Organization to transfer the registration form or parts thereof to the employer and the workers’ committee for the purpose of maintaining representation.
  3. The Organization is responsible for registering the user as a member and collecting membership fees in accordance with the member’s details. The membership payment page complies with the PCI-DSS security standard.
  4. In any case where billing details are provided, the user may cancel such authorization upon seven (7) business days’ prior notice.
  5. Joining the Organization also includes joining the General Cooperative Workers’ Society of Eretz Israel (the “Workers’ Society”), which is a cooperative association, and the member undertakes to comply with the constitutions of the Organization and the Workers’ Society, as well as with decisions of their authorized institutions.
  6. Personal information provided as part of the registration process shall be stored in the Organization’s registered database No. 843161. The Organization may receive updates from the Population Register regarding the information provided. Such information shall be used by the Organization, the Workers’ Society, and/or service providers acting on their behalf, including for direct mailing and marketing purposes, in accordance with the purposes of the database and applicable law. Where the user provides information without completing the registration process, the user’s name and phone number may be retained temporarily for the purpose of contacting the user.

Third Parties

  1. The website may include content belonging to third parties, including through links or hyperlinks. Use of such third-party content is subject to the terms of use and/or privacy policies of those third parties.
  2. Any use of third-party content, including access to third-party websites through links on the website, is undertaken at the user’s sole responsibility. The user shall have no claims or demands against the Organization in connection therewith, including, without limitation, for any direct or indirect damage resulting from such use, access, violation of privacy, or collection of information.

Information Security

  1. The Organization implements advanced information security measures and procedures. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Organization does not warrant that the website will operate without interruption or that the website and/or the information collected or provided will be completely immune to unauthorized access. The user acknowledges that the Organization shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damage or loss resulting from unauthorized access, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond the Organization’s control, including infringement of privacy.

Welcome to the website of the Histadrut – The General Federation of Labor in Israel (the “Website”).

Access to and use of the Website are subject to the Terms of Use detailed below. You are requested to read them carefully and in full.

General

  1. The Website is managed and operated by the Histadrut – The General Federation of Labor in Israel (the “Histadrut”) and or anyone acting on its behalf. Please review and stay updated on these Terms of Use, as any access to or use of the Website by any person or entity who browses, views, or otherwise uses the Website, directly or indirectly, including any content and or services therein (the “User”), constitutes agreement to these Terms of Use, including the Privacy Policy detailed below, as may be updated from time to time at the sole discretion of the Histadrut (the “Terms of Use” and the “Privacy Policy”, respectively).
  2. These Terms of Use are drafted in gender neutral language and apply equally to all users. These Terms also apply to use of the Website from any device used by the User.
  3. In these Terms, the term “Content” means information of any kind, including textual, visual, audio, or audiovisual content, or any combination thereof, as well as their design, processing, editing, distribution, and presentation, including any image, photograph, illustration, animation, diagram, figure, simulation, video, audio or musical file, software, computer code, application, mark, symbol, and icon.
  4. The publications on the Website are intended to assist the general public by providing general, preliminary, and non binding information only. The information provided does not replace, add to, detract from, or modify any provision of law or procedure, and is subject to change from time to time. It does not bind the Histadrut or create any rights not granted by law and may not serve as a basis for any legal or other proceeding.
  5. The Histadrut shall not be responsible for the suitability of the Website to the User’s needs. In addition, the Histadrut or anyone on its behalf shall bear no responsibility with respect to the Content on the Website, including content in software applications downloaded directly through the Website or activated as a result of using the Website.

The Histadrut shall not be liable for errors or inaccuracies in the materials presented on the Website, including their content, accuracy, reliability, or their impact on Users, nor for any damage, inconvenience, loss, distress, or any direct or indirect result caused to the User, the User’s property, or any third party as a result of using the Website Content. The Histadrut shall also not be responsible for any error, omission, inaccuracy, or lack of update of the information and or data published on the Website.
  7. Certain services on the Website require the provision of personal details, such as full name and contact information. The Histadrut may use such personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy detailed below and applicable law. Providing such information constitutes the User’s consent to its storage and use in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
  8. The Histadrut does not guarantee that the Website services will be provided continuously, without interruption, without errors, or that they will be immune from unauthorized access to its systems or from damages, malfunctions, failures, or defects in hardware, software, or communication systems of the Histadrut or anyone on its behalf. The Histadrut may, at its sole discretion, discontinue or suspend operation of the Website or any part thereof, and may change its structure and Content.

Links

  • The Website may include links or hyperlinks to software applications and or third party websites that are not under the control of the Histadrut and are not reviewed by it, including with respect to the reliability of their content and their security. Accordingly, the Histadrut shall bear no liability of any kind in connection with such applications or websites, including their content, data security, intellectual property rights, or any other rights of third parties.
  • The Histadrut may, at its sole discretion, remove any link from the Website and or add additional links. The Histadrut does not guarantee that links to third party websites or applications will be active.
  • Any use of the Website, including Content provided by the Histadrut and or by third parties, including access to third party websites or applications via links or advertisements on the Website, shall be at the User’s sole responsibility. The User shall have no claim or demand against the Histadrut in connection with the Website Content, including for any direct or indirect damage arising from use of or reliance upon the Content or due to any infringement of privacy resulting from such use.
  • Links to third party websites shall not be interpreted as endorsement, approval, recommendation, or preference by the Histadrut of such websites, their operators, or any products or services presented therein.

Joining the Histadrut

  1. The Histadrut enables Users who are not members to join through an online form.
  2. Membership in the Histadrut is voluntary and subject to payment of membership fees. Fees may be paid via direct debit, credit card, or, in the case of an organized workplace, through the workplace. When completing the registration form, the User must provide the name of their workplace. If the system does not recognize the workplace as an organized workplace (where payment is made through the workplace), the User will be required to select a payment method and provide the relevant payment details.
  3. The Histadrut is responsible for enrolling the User as a member and collecting membership fees according to the member’s details. The payment page complies with PCI DSS security standards.
  4. Where payment details are provided, the User may cancel such authorization with seven business days’ prior notice.
  5. Membership in the Histadrut also includes joining the General Cooperative Society of Workers in Israel (the “Workers’ Society”), which is a cooperative association. The joining member undertakes to comply with the constitutions of the Histadrut and the Workers’ Society and with any decisions and instructions of their authorized institutions, as adopted from time to time.
  6. Joining the Histadrut, including via online means, involves providing personal information. Such information will be stored in the Histadrut’s database (No. 843161), and the Histadrut may obtain updates from databases of the Israeli Ministry of Interior regarding the information provided. Such details (provided by the User and received from the Ministry of Interior) may be used by the Histadrut and the Workers’ Society and or anyone on their behalf, including for direct mailing and marketing purposes, in accordance with applicable law and the purposes of the database. In the event that details are submitted without completing the registration process, the User’s name and phone number may be retained temporarily for the purpose of contacting the User.

Intellectual Property

  1. All copyrights and intellectual property rights in the design of the Website and its Content, including any software, application, computer code, graphic file, text, and any other material included therein, are owned exclusively by the Histadrut or by third parties who have granted permission to the Histadrut. Nothing in the Website shall be construed, expressly or implicitly, as granting any license or right to use such Content. No part thereof may be copied, distributed, quoted, publicly displayed, or transferred to third parties without the prior written consent of the Histadrut.
  2. Trademarks appearing on the Website are the property of the Histadrut or, where applicable, of third parties, and may not be used without their prior written consent.
  3. Any citation from the Website must include proper attribution. The User may not distort, alter, or otherwise modify protected material in a manner that may harm the honor or reputation of the copyright holder.

Miscellaneous

  • These Terms of Use, including the Privacy Policy, shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Israel. The exclusive jurisdiction for any matter arising from these Terms or the Website shall be the competent courts in Tel Aviv.
