Joining the Histadrut
- The Histadrut enables Users who are not members to join through an online form.
- Membership in the Histadrut is voluntary and subject to payment of membership fees. Fees may be paid via direct debit, credit card, or, in the case of an organized workplace, through the workplace. - Where payment details are provided, the User may cancel such authorization with seven business days’ prior notice.
- Membership in the Histadrut also includes joining the General Cooperative Society of Workers in Israel (the “Workers’ Society”), which is a cooperative association. The joining member undertakes to comply with the constitutions of the Histadrut and the Workers’ Society and with any decisions and instructions of their authorized institutions, as adopted from time to time.
- Joining the Histadrut, including via online means, involves providing personal information. Such information will be stored in the Histadrut’s database (No. 843161), and the Histadrut may obtain updates from databases of the Israeli Ministry of Interior regarding the information provided. Such details (provided by the User and received from the Ministry of Interior) may be used by the Histadrut and the Workers’ Society and or anyone on their behalf, including for direct mailing and marketing purposes, in accordance with applicable law and the purposes of the database.
