The Histadrut, has always upheld the conviction that the only viable path to peace, stability, and prosperity in our region lies in dialogue, negotiation, and mutual recognition.
For decades, the Histadrut has stood for a negotiated agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. We envision an agreement that guarantees security for Israel and independence for the Palestinians. We remain steadfast in our belief that the framework of two states for two peoples offers the most just, practical, and enduring solution.
Such an agreement must be built on the principles of mutual respect, recognition of national aspirations, and the protection of human rights. It must ensure the right of Israelis to live in safety and peace, while also securing the right of Palestinians to exercise their self-determination in an independent state of their own.
As the largest workers’ organization in Israel, the Histadrut represents not only the interests of working people but also the broader vision of a society rooted in justice, solidarity, and coexistence. We believe that peace is not only a political necessity but also a social and economic imperative, one that will allow both peoples to build better lives for themselves and future generations.
The Histadrut therefore calls on all responsible leaders, both in Israel and internationally, to avoid unilateral actions and to redouble efforts toward renewing negotiations, fostering dialogue, and advancing the vision of two states, two peoples, one shared future of peace.
