Arnon Bar-David: I am proud to lead the Histadrut and the workers forward while maintaining the grand vision of organized, professional, and humane work.

Today we mark International Workers’ Day – May 1st. May Day is a day that is a symbol of the expression of solidarity between workers’ organizations and our uncompromising struggle for the right conditions and rights for every woman or man who goes out to work.

I am proud to lead the Histadrut and the workers forward while maintaining the grand vision of organized, professional, and humane work. Our Histadrut is open to everyone, religious and secular, Jews and Arabs, the center and the periphery, men and women, veteran Israelis, and new immigrants. I get up every morning anew to take care of workers in all areas and for all sectors. I am proud of our steadfast standing during the difficult corona period as one family. We took care of all the tourism and transportation industries workers, embraced the health system workers in all its branches, and brought in a message of responsible leadership for the Israeli economy. The Histadrut, under my leadership, will continue to be the natural home of the men and women workers and pensioners in Israel.
Happy Labor Day!
Arnon Bar-David
Chairman of the Histadrut
