Employees of “Yuval Hinuch” (Yuval Education), a subsidiary of the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality with around 2,000 workers, have unionized under the Histadrut.
This includes hundreds of aides, kindergarten supervisors, transportation escorts, administrative and IT staff, and educators who joined the Histadrut as a result of a unionization campaign that ran in recent months through various media and social networks.

The company operates as the executive arm of the Education Department in the city of Tel Aviv-Yafo, responsible for overseeing and supporting after-school programs in kindergartens and schools. Its employees also manage kindergarten clubs, work in special education, and operate additional educational frameworks.

The unionization process was supported by the Tel Aviv District and the Workers’ Unionization Division of the Histadrut.

In a letter sent (Wednesday) by Orna Avidan, Chair of the Tel Aviv-Yafo District of the Histadrut, and Amichai Stinger, CEO of the Workers’ Unionization Division, to Orit Krovinir, CEO of “Yuval Hinuch,” stated that the Histadrut is now the representative organization of the company’s employees and wishes to begin a dialogue, negotiations, and the signing of a collective agreement for the benefit of the workers.

Orna Avidan, Chair of the Tel Aviv-Yafo District of the Histadrut:
Joining the Histadrut is a first step toward true partnership, equality, job security, and a voice for Yuval Hinuch employees. Together, we will improve conditions, protect workers’ rights, and build a better future for all. Where there is unionization – there are results.”

Amichai Stinger, CEO of the Workers’ Unionization Division:
“Yuval Hinuch employees are joining thousands of municipal company workers who have unionized under the Histadrut in the past six months, strengthening the Histadrut as the home of all workers in Israel, especially in the public sector.”
