9000 NIS grant for government employees
The Histadrut, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the workers’ representatives signed a collective agreement today (Thursday) that will apply to the 160 employees of the Plant Protection and Inspection Services. The agreement regulates the receipt of consulting services for the audit of the export of agricultural goods and will end at the end of 2023. As part of the agreement, there will be structural, organizational changes in the scope of the work by the Plant Protection Service employees and the audits. In return, the employees will receive a grant of NIS 9,000, which will be distributed in three installments during the current year.
The Plant Protection and Inspection Services operate within the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. They are an arm for enforcing laws and regulations and providing professional services on plant protection, monitoring, and prevention of plant pests, as well as importing and exporting agricultural produce.
Chairman of the Israel Union of Government Employees, Adv. Ofir Alcalay said: “We bring good news to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development employees. I am happy to sign an agreement that gives grants to the employees and good compensation, and many more agreements await us.”
