On Monday, in the Cinematheque square in Tel Aviv, with the participation of hundreds of workers, pensioners, and citizens, chanted, “Enough! life is so expensive here”.

The demonstration is part of the national protest wave led by the Histadrut, demanding that the government adopt a real emergency plan to address the cost of living in Israel.
The demonstration continues the national wave of protests by the Histadrut against the rising cost of living, in the framework of which demonstrations were held in Haifa, Ashdod, Ramla, Ashkelon, Nahariya, Nof HaGalil, Be’er Sheva and Rehovot, calling on the new government to adopt the Histadrut’s plan to address the cost of living and to implement an emergency plan to reduce costs.

Representatives of the Histadrut in the district accompanied the demonstrators. They held signs that read, among other things, “Enough! The minimum wage is not enough for a minimal existence”, “Enough! We are tired of paying the price”, and “Enough! We must take care of raising the old age pension”.

Histadrut Chairman Arnon Bar-David: “We continue to take to the streets, from the right and the left, religious and secular, workers and pensioners – and demand that the new government act to reduce the cost of living immediately. We will not hesitate to act until we see a real engagement of the decision makers and solutions that will remove the economic sword raised against Israeli society.”
