Histadrut, Brinks Israel Management Reach Landmark Agreement for 600 Employees
The Histadrut, Brinks Israel management, and the workers’ council signed a collective agreement today (Monday) that will apply to approximately 600 company employees in various positions. The agreement comes after lengthy negotiations led by the security, cleaning, and nursing care workers union in the Histadrut led by Yossi Barabi, and at the center of it are significant achievements for the company’s employees in the form of an increase in the basic salary to approximately 8,500 shekels for several positions, and a substantial improvement in employment conditions.
More in the agreement:
- Raising the basic salary by NIS 250 from January 2023.
- A one-time grant of up to NIS 3,000.
- A fixed and annual increase of up to 3.5% to the combined salary.
- An increase of up to NIS 2,000 to the base salary for a starting employee.
- Differential salary increase depending on the position between NIS 500-850.
- Collective dental insurance.
Chairman of the Histadrut Arnon Bar-David: “This is an important and significant achievement for hundreds of employees employed in sensitive positions, on whose shoulders is a great responsibility to manage the money of all of us. Thanks to the determination of the Histadrut and the union, and the willingness of the Brinks management, the workers will win an agreement that brings with it economical and occupational stability, an agreement adapted to the modern era that will strengthen the status of the workers and help grow the company.”
Brinks President Yishai Zweikel: “The agreement testifies to the good working relations and to Brinks’ ability to provide the best service in the economy. We have reached a decent and beneficial agreement with everyone, allowing us and the employees to break forward as Brinks has many challenges in the future. The agreement will improve the terms of employment and will keep Brinks a strong and growing company.”
Chairman of the Security, Cleaning, and Nursing Care Workers Union in the Histadrut, Yossi Barabi: “Although it was not easy, we reached a good and important collective agreement based on understanding the needs of the employees and the ambitions of the company operating in a vibrant market. Apart from the achievements that are important to all employees, we also emphasized improving the conditions of the new employees, aiming to enable growth in the workplace.”
